Throughout the month of March, our elementary schools hosted their annual Science Fairs, showcasing the curiosity, creativity, and hard work of students in grades 3–5 across the district.
Following each event, Dr. Wankmuller, Director of Science and Research, met with the finalists to evaluate their projects and determine final placements, including honorable mention, as well as first, second, and third place.
First-place winners from each school will go on to represent their buildings at the Brookhaven National Laboratory Elementary Science Fair Competition on Saturday, May 16—an exciting opportunity to share their work on a larger stage.
Congratulations to all of our young scientists for their impressive achievements.
