On Friday, February 13, the kindergarten classrooms at Pines Elementary School were filled with “centurions” as students celebrated the 100th day of school in creative and memorable fashion.
Dressed as 100-year-olds, the young learners fully embraced the milestone while participating in a variety of themed activities. Students strung together 100 beads, created colorful “gumball machines” using dot markers, and listened to stories centered on the 100th day of school. Throughout the day, they also practiced counting by ones, fives and tens all the way to 100.
The celebration combined learning and fun, giving students an engaging way to build number sense while marking an important point in the school year.
