Pines Elementary is excited to spotlight Creation Station, a creative and engaging alternative to traditional recess. Run by Mrs. Ratner, this program offers 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students a relaxed space to explore new interests, meet new friends, and enjoy a different kind of break in their day.
Students can choose from a variety of hands-on activity tables, including building with Legos, Keva Planks, and Magnet Tiles, experimenting with watercolor paints, colored pencils, crayons, and markers, or diving into a range of fun crafts.
For those who prefer a quieter moment, the cozy reading and relaxation area—complete with books and soft seating—provides the perfect spot to unwind. Students can also enjoy games and cards with friends, adding to the inviting and collaborative atmosphere.
Creation Station continues to be a welcoming space where imagination thrives, friendships grow, and recess becomes a time for creativity and connection.
