Safe Halloween 2025

Last Saturday, the Hauppauge High School Interact Club hosted its annual Safe Halloween event in the High School Commons — a community favorite that brought together fun, creativity, and kindness for a great cause!

Families enjoyed a day filled with performances, crafts, candy, games, and movies, all while supporting the Señora Aigen Memorial Food Drive. Admission to the event included two nonperishable food items per child, helping to make a difference for local families in need.

The event featured an exciting lineup of student performances. The high school dancers wowed the crowd with their “Dance Spooktacular” — a lively performance set to Thriller that ended with a fun freeze dance game for kids in the audience. The French Club joined in on the festivities, dressing as characters from Ratatouille and hosting a creative Eiffel Tower beret toss game.

In a touching moment, Timmy Aigen, the son of the late Señora Aigen, attended the event and helped sort the many food donations collected in her memory — a powerful reminder of the spirit of giving and community that defines Hauppauge.

From dancing and decorating to giving back and gathering together, Safe Halloween was truly a spooktacular success!
