Hackathon

Hauppauge Middle School’s seventh and eighth grade Codin’ Eagles delivered an outstanding performance at the Long Island Code Conquest Hackathon, earning top honors for the fourth consecutive year. Coached by teachers Brian Ferrara and Amy Thompson, the team competed against 14 schools from across Long Island at the event, which was hosted by kidOYO and held at Hauppauge Middle School.

Demonstrating strong collaboration, creativity, and technical skill, the Codin’ Eagles captured first place in the junior division. Their success extended beyond the overall title, as they also earned first place honors for Best Banner and Best Display Project, along with a second place finish for Best Logo.
