History was made as the Varsity Girls’ Track Team captured the Section XI County Championship for the first time in school history. The Eagles delivered an outstanding all-around performance, scoring points in all but two events on their way to a decisive victory.
Coming off a League 4 Championship win just two weeks earlier, the team entered the meet with momentum and a clear goal in mind. That focus paid off, as the Eagles finished 32 points ahead of the second-place team, securing the county title through a true total team effort.
Several athletes contributed key individual performances and medal finishes, including Rachel Budke, who claimed first place in the long jump, and Katherine DitTuro, who earned a county championship in the 1500W. Strong finishes across distance, sprint, jump, and walk events highlighted the depth and versatility of the Eagles’ lineup.
The relay teams also played an important role in the team’s success, led by the 4x200 relay team, which earned a first-place finish, along with point-scoring performances in the 4x800 and 4x400 relays.
This championship reflects years of dedication, perseverance, and teamwork from both athletes and coaches. Congratulations to the entire Varsity Girls’ Track program on this historic achievement and a season to remember.
