Hauppauge Middle School

Over 30 volunteers from the Helping Hands Community Service Club, along with their advisors Ms. Saltzman and Mrs. Visnius, spent Saturday, November 22, 2025, helping clean up Sunken Meadow State Park as part of the Sixth Annual Beach Cleanup hosted by the Atlantic Marine Conservation Society.

Students and families worked hard to remove litter, protect wildlife, and learn about the importance of watching for cold-stunned sea turtles during the colder months. Helping Hands was one of the largest groups in attendance and made a meaningful impact on our local environment.
