Swim Champs

The Hauppauge–Smithtown Girls Swim Team made a big splash once again—capturing their fifth consecutive county championship and completing their fifth straight undefeated season!

It was an outstanding team effort, with several standout performances leading the way:

  • Junior Avery Wilcox earned 2nd place in both the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle events and contributed to the 1st-place 200- and 400-yard freestyle relay teams.

  • Sophomore Kenzie Clarke finished 5th in diving, showcasing consistency and poise.

  • Senior Rowan Ashby closed out her impressive six-year varsity career, contributing in the 200 individual medley and 500-yard freestyle events.

  • 8th grader Sylvia Bonn helped power the 1st-place 200- and 400-yard freestyle relays and placed in both the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events.

  • 8th grader Adriana Darcy earned 3rd place in the 500-yard freestyle.

  • 7th grader Mia Barbero placed 6th in both the 200 individual medley and 100-yard backstroke.

Currently ranked #1 in New York State and among the top 20 teams in the nation, Hauppauge–Smithtown continues to set the standard for excellence in and out of the pool.

Next up, the team will head to Webster High School in Rochester, New York, on November 21–22 to defend their State Championship title. Hauppauge–Smithtown has proudly brought home two of the last three State Championships, and they’re ready to make another run at the top!
