On Friday, October 24, 2025, students in the Hauppauge Middle School 8th Grade Immersive Art class took a field trip to the Parrish Art Museum, where they spent the day exploring, learning, and creating.
During their visit, students participated in a guided tour of the museum’s exhibits, where they learned about the artists and the stories behind their works. Afterward, they had the opportunity to revisit the galleries independently—sketching their favorite pieces or specific details that inspired them.
The experience continued in one of the museum’s art studios, where students brought their sketches to life using oil pastels and colored pencils.
It was a wonderful day filled with creativity, inspiration, and hands-on learning. The students not only deepened their appreciation for art but also had the chance to express their own creativity in a truly immersive way.
