Hauppauge Middle School’s Immersive Art class took a field trip to the Pollack-Krasner House in East Hampton. This was the home and art studio of abstract painters Jackson Pollack and Lee Krasner. The students received a guided tour of the home, which features original furnishings along with sculptures, paintings and prints. They also toured the studio barn, filled with paint splatters, where Pollock and Krasner created their groundbreaking masterpieces. Following the tour, students created their own drip paintings on the grounds, overlooking Accabonac Creek.
