Students in Ms. Donnelly’s Virtual Enterprise class at Hauppauge High School are gaining valuable real-world experience as they prepare to launch and manage their student-created virtual company, Moo Juice, a caffeinated chocolate milk brand designed for high school students seeking a morning energy boost without coffee.
As part of the program, students will participate in mock interviews for a variety of positions within their company. Experienced interviewers from the Hauppauge community are invited to help evaluate candidates, share professional insights and offer feedback to strengthen students’ communication and interview skills.
Virtual Enterprise (VE) is a business simulation course in which students create and operate virtual companies, gaining hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, finance, marketing and management. Through this project-based learning experience, students develop the practical skills and professional confidence needed to prepare for college and future careers.
Through the interview process, students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their qualifications, practice communicating their strengths and learn what employers look for when hiring. Once positions are assigned, they will work together to manage Moo Juice’s operations and bring their business concept to life.
This experience gives students a valuable opportunity to apply classroom learning in a professional setting while developing the collaboration, problem-solving and decision-making skills that will serve them well beyond high school.
