On Friday, September 18, the Hauppauge Girls Varsity Tennis Team hosted its annual Play for Pink match, bringing the team together to compete for a meaningful cause.
The Eagles faced Middle Country in a hard-fought match, ultimately falling just short by a score of 3–4.
Hauppauge earned three individual victories during the match. Captain Araina Chandra battled to a 6–3, 6–4 victory at first singles, while Vaibhavi Hegde earned a decisive 6–2, 6–2 win at second singles. In second doubles, Julia Rocco and Skylar Dill fought through a three-set match, coming from behind to secure a 4–6, 6–3, 7–5 victory.
The team’s Play for Pink match was a great opportunity to come together, compete and support a meaningful cause. Great match, girls!
