Hauppauge Public Schools is proud to announce that seniors Katelyn Oliveto and Matias Kalaitzis have been recognized by the New York State Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance Suffolk Zone Chapter as Hauppauge’s 2026 Physical Education Students of the Year.

This prestigious recognition is awarded to students who demonstrate excellence in physical education achievement, strong academic performance, outstanding character, leadership, and a commitment to serving as positive role models for their peers.

Katelyn and Matias exemplify these qualities both inside and outside the classroom through their dedication, sportsmanship, and leadership within the school community. Their accomplishments reflect the values of perseverance, integrity, and teamwork that make Hauppauge proud.
