Students Create Personalized Mother’s Day Gifts in Design and Drawing for Production Class

Students in Mr. Dowd’s Design and Drawing for Production classes recently combined creativity, craftsmanship, and technology to create personalized charcuterie boards as special Mother’s Day gifts.

After constructing the boards by hand, students used the class laser engraver to add customized messages and designs for their mothers, making each piece unique and meaningful.

The project gave students the opportunity to apply design and production skills in a hands-on setting while creating thoughtful gifts for their families. Through the process, students explored woodworking techniques, precision craftsmanship, and modern engraving technology as part of the creative design experience.

The finished projects showcased both the students’ technical abilities and the care they put into creating something personal for Mother’s Day.
