Hauppauge High School’s Wind Ensemble received outstanding recognition at the NYSSMA Majors Festival Adjudication held at the end of April, earning a Gold rating for their performance.
The ensemble’s program featured “Minuteman Concert March” by Robert Pearson, “A Festival Prelude” by Alfred Reed, and “Abram’s Pursuit” by David Holsinger, showcasing both technical skill and musical expression.
Following their success at NYSSMA, the group performed the same program at the Music in the Parks Festival in New Jersey and will perform it again at the Spring Concert on May 14.
