Students enrolled in College Principles of Engineering and Virtual Enterprise recently visited CPC, a pharmaceutical manufacturing company located in the Hauppauge Industrial Park. The trip provided valuable insight into a wide range of career opportunities within the organization, including roles in production, safety, marketing, and operations.
During the visit, CPC staff emphasized the importance of workplace safety and regulatory compliance in the pharmaceutical industry, while also sharing how their products are developed and brought to market. A highlight of the experience was the opportunity for students to observe the manufacturing process in action, helping them make meaningful connections between classroom learning and real-world applications.
Students remained engaged throughout the visit, asking thoughtful questions and interacting with industry professionals to deepen their understanding of potential career pathways in both engineering and business.
The district extends its sincere thanks to Jeff Reingold, COO, and the entire CPC team for their time, hospitality, and commitment to supporting student learning through this valuable experience.
