High school and middle school teachers stepped up to the January “Teaching with Tech” Challenge focused on Student Engagement. The Digital Learning Department tasked teachers to use a digital tool to increase student engagement at least two separate lessons or activities during the month of January. Teachers used tools such as Brisk, Wayground, Padlet and Diffit to complete this challenge.
Once they implemented their lessons, teachers were asked to reflect on the process. Teachers were impressed by some of the platforms they were using including the way the immediate feedback allowed learners to self-correct and deepen understanding, while also providing progress tracking to help teachers identify areas of need and tailor instruction.
