Course Guide 2627

On January 8th, Mr. Campanelli and Mr. Wieckhorst presented the 2026–2027 Course Guide and took time to highlight the wide range of programs available to our Hauppauge High School students. Held in the high school auditorium, this presentation provided families with a comprehensive look at course offerings, pathways, and planning tools for the upcoming school year.

Selecting courses for the year requires careful collaboration between students, parents, counselors, and teachers. The 2026–27 Course Catalog provides a comprehensive overview of offerings across all departments, including core courses, electives, diploma requirements, and several exciting new additions that expand students’ choices. Course sequences and planning tools are included to help students design a program of study that aligns with their goals in high school and beyond.

Our high school is proud to offer one of the most robust academic programs on Long Island. As a full International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme school, students may pursue the full diploma or enroll in individual IB courses that support their interests and college aspirations. In addition, we offer an extensive selection of Advanced Placement (AP) courses and dual-enrollment opportunities, allowing students to earn college credits while still in high school. Combined with a wide array of electives, these programs ensure that every student can explore meaningful pathways—whether in the arts, sciences, humanities, technology, or career-focused fields.

Thank you to Sahmuel Babyak, Class of 2028, for the original artwork he created for the 2026–2027 Course Guide. The High School Guidance Department, led by Mr. Campanelli, collaborated with Ms. McGrath and her high school Graphic Design class to host a Course Guide Cover Design Competition that sparked strong creativity and healthy competition among students. Through high school staff voting, Sahmuel’s design stood out among the entries, earning the top honor.

You can view the 2026–2027 Course Guide by visiting the Hauppauge High School’s Counseling Center webpage. This page also includes a variety of helpful resources for students at every stage of their high school journey.

Students and families are encouraged to work closely with the Counseling Department throughout the scheduling process. Their guidance, combined with thoughtful student reflection, helps create course schedules that are both challenging and fulfilling. We thank our community for its continued partnership and support as we guide students through an enriching high school experience. Together, we remain committed to inspiring learners today and developing leaders for tomorrow.
