On December 19, Hauppauge student-athletes Peyton Kulesa, Julianna Postillo, and Jake Messina joined representatives from districts across Suffolk County at the Section XI Student-Athlete Leadership Conference held at Brookhaven Town Hall. The conference provided an engaging opportunity for student leaders to collaborate, learn, and grow alongside their peers.
Throughout the day, participants took part in meaningful discussions and exchanged ideas with fellow student-athletes. They also heard from a variety of speakers, including mental health professionals and former and current professional athletes, who shared insights on leadership, resilience, and the importance of well-being both on and off the field.
The experience offered valuable perspectives and tools that students are eager to bring back and share with their teammates and peers, further strengthening the culture of leadership and support within the Hauppauge athletic community.
