St Johns Trip

On December 16th, the High School Counseling Center took 34 students on an exciting and immersive visit to St. John’s University. The experience offered students a firsthand look at college life—both inside and outside the classroom.

The afternoon began with a guided tour of the Queens campus, where students learned about academic programs, campus resources, and the many opportunities St. John’s offers its undergraduates. From residence halls and academic buildings to student activity spaces, the tour provided a comprehensive glimpse into life as a St. John’s student.

After the tour, a stop at the university bookstore gave students a chance to browse college gear and souvenirs before heading to the dining hall. There, they enjoyed an all-you-can-eat dinner, dining just like college students and experiencing the independence and flexibility campus dining provides.

To cap off an already exciting day, students attended a thrilling matchup featuring the nationally ranked St. John’s Men’s Basketball Team, who defeated DePaul University in a hard-fought 79–66 victory.

The trip offered an engaging blend of academics, campus culture, and student life, helping participants visualize the next step in their educational journey and inspiring them to imagine the possibilities ahead.
