The Astronomy Club, led by Mr. Yablon, recently attended the No Space for Hunger Astronomy Event, joining forces with Long Island Cares – Harry Chapin Food Bank to raise awareness about hunger on Long Island.
The event combined a community food drive with a night of stargazing, made possible by the generous support of some of Long Island’s top astronomers, who volunteered their time, expertise, and telescopes for the public to enjoy.
Mr. Yablon brought 20 students—and donations of food—to help support this meaningful cause. Together, they enjoyed an evening under the stars while contributing to an effort that makes a real difference in our community.
