In ELA Explorations class, students embarked on a creative and collaborative project by designing their own original superheroes. Each student developed a unique origin story, superpowers, and hero journey before crafting and delivering a persuasive “pitch” to present their character to the class.
Adding an exciting twist, classmates acted as investors, evaluating each superhero based on creativity, originality, and presentation, and deciding which heroes they would “invest” in. This engaging activity blended writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills while fostering imagination, confidence, and authentic audience interaction.
