NYC Marathon Trope

For many, running a marathon is a daunting challenge—but for Josh Trope, Class of 2026, it became a life-changing experience. What began as a way to improve his health quickly turned into a true passion.

Earlier this year, Josh ran his first marathon at the Catholic Health Suffolk County Marathon, and just two weeks later, he achieved a major milestone: completing the TCS New York City Marathon. The experience left a lasting impression, marking one of the most memorable moments of his life.

Running has since become more than just exercise for Josh, it’s now a dream. He aspires to complete all six of the Abbott World Marathon Majors, a goal that includes future plans to participate in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon in October 2026 via the lottery ballot system. Achieving all six would earn him the prestigious 6-Star Marathon Major medal, a challenge he’s determined to pursue.

Josh’s story is a testament to how a simple goal, getting healthier, can evolve into a lifelong passion, inspiring others to find joy and purpose in unexpected places.
