As part of Hauppauge High Schoolās Virtual Enterprise program, students in Ms. Donnellyās class recently participated in mock interviews with members of the Hauppauge administration team. These interviews simulated the hiring process for leadership positions within a student-created virtual business, giving participants valuable insight into the demands and expectations of real-world job interviews.
Virtual Enterprise is a college-level course designed to give students hands-on experience with business operations. The project-based curriculum is aligned with career readiness standards, allowing students to explore potential professions while developing essential skills valued by both colleges and future employers.
Students applied for a variety of leadership roles within their business ventureāHydrate, a company specializing in sports, energy, and protein drinks. Positions included Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Sales Officer, Marketing Associate, and Event Planner.
Following the interviews, students will be assigned their roles and begin managing the companyās daily operations. Through this experience, they will strengthen their business knowledge, sharpen their entrepreneurial mindset, and explore career paths that align with their interests and goals.
