Read Across America

Students and teachers at Forest Brook Elementary School came together to celebrate a love of reading during their Read Across America Day festivities on Monday, March 2.

Launched in 1998 by the National Education Association, Read Across America Day promotes the joy and importance of reading, particularly for children and young adults. The celebration is traditionally held each year on the birthday of beloved author Dr. Seuss.

To mark the occasion, Forest Brook students and staff showed their creativity by dressing as their favorite Dr. Seuss characters. The fun continued as the entire school spent time reading together in the hallways, creating a school wide reading experience where students could share books and stories with classmates.

The day was a wonderful celebration of imagination, literacy, and the joy that comes from discovering new stories together.
