PS I Love You

Forest Brook Elementary School came together once again for a heartfelt celebration of hope, caring, love and understanding during PS I Love You Day 2026. This cherished annual event is eagerly anticipated by both students and staff, and this year was no exception.

In a special surprise, the school’s dedicated staff transformed the hallways with beautiful purple hearts and uplifting messages in support of this year’s theme, “Be the Light.” Each display served as a reminder that even the smallest act of kindness can brighten someone’s day.

A lighthouse stood proudly in the cafeteria, surrounded by starfish created by primary students. Each starfish carried an important message: everyone matters. In the entryway, a flashlight display featured a beam made up of smaller flashlights designed by intermediate students, each describing ways they can be a light for others.

Throughout the week, students participated in meaningful skits that reinforced themes of kindness, empathy and inclusion. The celebration concluded with a heartfelt staff video reminding every child of a powerful and simple truth — YOU MATTER!

In addition to spreading kindness, Forest Brook proudly raised more than $200 for the RQCF by selling the foundation’s purple bracelets. Students and staff wore the bracelets with pride as they honored Mrs. Quinn’s memory and the lasting legacy she leaves within the district community.

As the school community headed into February break, the Forest Brook family did so with full hearts and bright smiles, knowing that everyone can “Be the Light” through even the smallest gesture of kindness.
