67th Day

December 16 marked the 67th day of school, and in true Forest Brook fashion, the faculty and staff seized the moment to connect with students by tapping into a popular trend sweeping the building. With the “6–7” phenomenon echoing through classrooms and hallways, our educators embraced the mindset: If you can’t beat them, join them.

Teachers and staff surprised students by sporting homemade and store-bought “6–7” T-shirts, sparking laughter and excitement from morning arrival to dismissal. The playful nod to student culture brought smiles to faces of all ages and showcased the school community’s willingness to lean into humor and connection.

More than just a trend, the moment served as a reminder that school isn’t only about academics—it’s also a place where relationships are built and joy is shared. And who knows? Maybe watching the grown-ups join in will help the trend mellow out—just as “skibidi,” Gangnam Style, and “YOLO” faded into nostalgia. One can only hope! Until then, our staff will continue to find meaningful (and fun) ways to motivate students and strengthen relationships each and every day.
