November was filled with excitement for Forest Brook’s second graders as they participated in Cranberry Centers on November 21. Students explored the science behind this unique fruit, learning firsthand why cranberries float and bounce. Using their five senses, they made observations, examined the inside of a cranberry, and discovered what makes this tiny berry so special.
Of course, no cranberry exploration would be complete without a taste test! Students sampled fresh cranberries, cranberry juice, cranberry sauce, and craisins, making it a truly cran-tastic day of learning and fun.
