Forest Brook Elementary School

On October 16, Forest Brook fourth graders in Mrs. Martelli’s class kicked off their first Amplify Science unit on Energy Conversions. Working in small groups, students used materials such as solar panels, fans, and wires to design and build simple electrical systems. They tested their creations by finding a light source — the sun or a classroom bulb — and watching their fans spin to confirm success. To wrap up the lesson, students recorded their findings by drawing detailed diagrams of their systems in their science investigation notebooks.
