On Wednesday, October 29, Bretton Woods third graders set out on an exciting field trip to the Center for Environmental Education and Discovery (CEED) in Brookhaven. The visit offered students a chance to step into the great outdoors and experience science in action!
Led by Ranger Eric Powers and his team, the program introduced students to a variety of hands-on learning opportunities that encouraged curiosity and exploration. Using natural phenomena and live animal ambassadors, the CEED educators helped bring classroom lessons to life — from observing habitats to discovering how animals adapt and survive in their environments.
Throughout the day, students engaged in innovative, inquiry-based activities that sparked questions, inspired wonder, and deepened their appreciation for the natural world. It was a day of learning, discovery, and adventure that our third graders won’t soon forget!
