Pines Elementary fifth graders took teamwork and perseverance to new heights during their annual trip to Adventure Park in Wheatley Heights on October 17.
Throughout the day, students challenged themselves on elevated ropes courses, navigating trails of varying difficulty that featured ziplines, ladders, and climbing obstacles. After learning how to safely use their harnesses and equipment, students stepped outside their comfort zones and discovered what they could accomplish with courage and determination.
As they made their way through the courses, classmates encouraged one another, celebrated successes, and offered support when challenges seemed daunting. The experience provided opportunities for students to practice teamwork, build confidence, and demonstrate compassion and empathy.
It was a memorable day filled with laughter, encouragement, and personal achievements. We are proud of our fifth graders for embracing new challenges, supporting their classmates, and making lasting memories together!
