Hauppauge High School senior Olalekan Ogunsakin has been named a Semifinalist in the 2027 Coca-Cola Scholars Program, earning recognition among an outstanding group of high school students from across the country.

Olalekan was selected as one of just 1,227 Semifinalists from more than 113,000 applicants nationwide. The program recognizes students for their academic achievement, leadership and commitment to service in their schools and communities.

As a Semifinalist, Olalekan advances to the next stage of the selection process, joining students competing for one of 150 college scholarships valued at $20,000 each.

This achievement reflects Olalekan’s dedication and accomplishments as a student and community member. The Hauppauge community congratulates him on this exciting recognition and wishes him continued success in the next stage of the competition!
