Forest Brook Elementary School kicked off its PARP program on October 5 with a special visit from author and poet Darren Sardelli.
Students had the opportunity to meet Sardelli and hear him share selections from his books of poetry. Two assemblies were held to ensure each presentation was tailored to the students’ age group, with one for grades K–2 and another for grades 3–5.
The students enjoyed the lively presentations and had a great time celebrating the joy of reading. As an added treat, Sardelli generously donated a copy of his newest book to the Forest Brook library.
It was a fun and memorable way to launch this year’s PARP program and get students excited to read!
