Students in Mr. Hufnagel’s Sports & Entertainment Marketing class recently stepped outside the classroom for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Citi Field, gaining firsthand insight into the many operations that come together to run a professional sports and entertainment venue.
During the tour, students visited the VIP Lounge, a luxury suite, the Mets dugout, and the bullpen, offering them a unique perspective on the business of professional sports and the fan experience beyond game day. The experience provided students with an opportunity to see how concepts discussed in class connect to the many different aspects of the sports and entertainment industry.
The day also included an unexpected glimpse into the world of film, as students had the opportunity to observe a movie crew filming a scene for an upcoming film featuring Emma Stone.
From the business behind the scenes to the excitement on the field, the visit gave students a memorable look at the many career opportunities and experiences within the sports and entertainment industry.
