The Hauppauge High School Chamber Choir had a very successful performance at the NYSSMA Major Organization Festival. At NYSSMA Majors, ensembles perform for two adjudicators who provide written and recorded comments as well as an overall rating. At the festival, the Chamber Choir performed Level 6 Choral repertoire and received a rating of “Gold with Distinction”, which is the highest rating an ensemble can receive.
A week later, at Music in the Parks, the Chamber Choir performed their set for two adjudicators at United Congregational Church in Holyoke, Massachusetts, competing against other choirs from Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and New York. The choir took home first place with a “Superior” rating in their division, as well as Best Overall Choir at that festival.
Congratulations to the Chamber Choir on these outstanding achievements!
