Congratulations to Pines Elementary fifth grader Taran Sathish Kumar for winning this year’s Earth Day Poster Contest! The contest, open to all fifth-grade students, received 43 creative entries—each featuring thoughtful slogans and artwork focused on ways to help protect our planet. As the winner, Taran will receive a $100 prize, generously sponsored by the Long Island Solar Project.
