HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT IS A “HOLIDAY HERO” AFTER ORGANIZING A “HAUPPAUGE HOLIDAY BLOOD DRIVE”
Thank you to our high school student, Gabrielle Catanzaro! Gabrielle is a true “Holiday Hero” for organizing a special “Hauppauge Holiday Blood Drive.”
In order to combat existing blood shortages, Gabrielle took action and coordinated with the “New York Blood Center” to hold this drive on Monday, December 12th at the high school. Hauppauge staff and eligible students 16 and older with a permission slip participated in the Blood Drive.
High School Principal, Joseph Wieckhorst, said, “Gabrielle Catanzaro organized a “Holiday Blood Drive” for students and staff to help combat the blood shortages that exist. Gabrielle did all the work with organization, marketing, and management. We are so proud of her. Because of her, dozens of students and staff were able to donate blood to help this holiday season.”
We salute this wonderful, thoughtful student, Gabrielle. Because of her, many were able to “give the gift of life for the holidays!”
