HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER, JOHN SALVAGGIO, IS SELECTED AS JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT "2019 LONG ISLAND EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR!"

High School teacher, John Salvaggio, has been selected as Junior Achievement of New York’s “2019 Long Island Educator of the Year!” Mr. Salvaggio will be honored at Junior Achievement’s annual Celebration event on Tuesday, October 15th. In addition, Mr. Salvaggio was recognized by the Board of Education at their meeting on Tuesday, September 24th for this honor.

In a letter to Mr. Salvaggio, Junior Achievement Senior Manager of Programs, Linda Furey said, “Without educators like you, we wouldn’t be able to deliver the more than 100,000 student experiences each year to kids across NYC, Long Island, and the Lower Hudson Valley. You are a JA VIP - A role model who inspires kids to dream big and reach their full potential. For that, we can’t thank you enough!” Ms. Furey also said, “We look forward to honoring you for your dedication to inspiring and preparing our students to succeed! Congratulations, again!”

Congratulations to Mr. Salvaggio on a wonderful start to the 2019-2020 school year!
