Police & Firefighter Appreciation Day
On Thursday, April 27th, students at Forest Brook were very excited to welcome family members who serve and community police officers, firefighters, and first responders for a special parade and rec- ognition assembly. Parents, grandparents, and relatives who serve in these capacities were in uniform and joined the children for a special parade. Students lined the driveway and held up signs and cheered as they walked by. Fire Companies brought their fire trucks. The Suffolk County Police were there with vehicles. After the parade, everyone entered the beautifully decorated gym. Posters from all of the different classes lined the walls, thanking the Police and Firefighters for their service to others. Students made thank you cards for each of the members that attended. It was a beautiful tribute. As a huge surprise for the kids, the Suffolk County Police helicopter landed on the grounds after the assembly and students were able to get a close-up look! Here are some photos from this wonderful day! Please click on the title to view them.
