The Office of Personnel and Administration, led by Deputy Superintendent Joseph Tasman, is responsible for the recruitment, selection, appointment, development, and promotion of all district employees. This office serves as the cornerstone of the district’s human resources operations, ensuring that staffing decisions align with district policies, state and federal regulations, and contractual requirements.

Mr. Tasman has dedicated over 30 years to the Hauppauge community, bringing unparalleled institutional knowledge and leadership to his role. His work has profoundly impacted the district’s employees and the broader community. In addition to overseeing personnel operations, Mr. Tasman plays a critical role in collective bargaining, working closely with employee representatives to negotiate fair and effective agreements. He collaborates with district administrators to evaluate staff, monitor demographics, and plan for future staffing needs, ensuring the district remains well-positioned to meet its goals.
