Dr. McCarthy serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology for Hauppauge Public Schools. In this role, Dr. McCarthy oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of district-wide instructional programs, ensuring alignment with state standards and the district’s mission to foster academic excellence. Dr. McCarthy also leads professional development initiatives to support teachers and administrators in delivering high-quality instruction that meets the diverse needs of all learners.

Additionally, Dr. McCarthy is responsible for the integration of technology into the curriculum, enhancing both teaching and learning through innovative digital tools and platforms. This includes managing technology infrastructure for instructional use, overseeing the selection and implementation of educational software, and supporting the effective use of student devices.
