Inclusion in the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program is one of the highest honors bestowed upon graduating high school seniors. Scholars are selected on the basis of superior academic and artistic achievements, leadership qualities, strong character and involvement in community and school activities.
At the National History Day Award Ceremony the Senior Performance "Constitutional Convention of 1821" placed 4th in the nation! Additionally, these students also received the top outstanding entry in the Senior Division for New York State! This is a tremendous accomplishment and the best finish for Hauppauge thus far.
Seventh grader, Navya Gautam, was a winner in a poster contest from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. Her artwork will be featured in their calendar.
