Ms. Jacqueline I. Pirro
Ms. Jacqueline Pirro proudly serves the Hauppauge Public Schools as the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations. In this capacity she is responsible for the financial component of the school district which includes the accounting, payroll, employee benefits and purchasing functions. In addition her office facilitates the development of the annual school budget, oversees capital projects, oversees the preparation of the district’s financial statements and provides risk management. Ms. Pirro also supervises the buildings and grounds and transportation departments as well as the school lunch program.
As Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations, Ms. Pirro firmly believes that the goal of any school business office should be to maximize the available resources so that all students are provided the tools to achieve to their highest potential. With this in mind, she will always seek to maintain cost efficiency and fiscal responsibility in order to promote programs for students.
Prior to her arrival at Hauppauge Ms. Pirro served over eight years in the East Williston Union Free School District as the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Business Administrator roles. Prior to working in the public school system she worked at McGann-Mercy Diocesan High School in Riverhead as Business Manager and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as a Pension Analyst. Ms. Pirro received her BA in Business from SUNY Albany, her Masters in Business Education from Dowling College and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration also from Dowling College.
