Welcome to Mrs. Vesonder Webpage!

Hello readers and families. My name is Mrs. Vesonder and I'm a reading teacher at Pines Elementary School. I work with students in grades 1st through 5th and specialize in Reading Recovery. I began teaching here in 2017. Prior to teaching in the Hauppauge School District, I worked for many years in New York City, Brooklyn, and Westhampton! Reading is a passion of mine and I enjoy teaching students how to become successful readers and writers.

My favorite book is called Stand Tall Molly Lou Melon by Patty Lovell. I think this book has a great message about embracing your authentic self.

When you get a chance, read it!
