Kindness Rocks Rock
Character building is a mainstay in the educational program of the Hauppauge Public Schools. The youngest students are taught caring, compassion, and respect for one another. Students are taught to be mindful of others and to choose kindness.
As part of a Spring Kindness project, third grade students in Ms. Giachetti’s and Ms. Holden’s Class painted rocks and put positive, inspirational messages on them. The students will place their rocks somewhere in their community in an effort to spread hope, peace and kindness. The students are trying to spread kindness throughout the community and model that “a little message of kindness can change a person’s day.” Look out for those rocks. The children hope they bring a smile to your face.
