Mr. James Stucchio proudly serves the Hauppauge Public Schools as Deputy Superintendent of Schools. In this capacity, he is responsible for the financial component of the school district which includes the accounting, payroll, employee benefits, and purchasing functions. In addition, his office facilitates the development of the annual school district budget for Board of Education review; oversees capital projects; invests and borrows funds; prepares the district’s financial statements; and provides risk management. Mr. Stucchio also supervises the buildings and grounds and transportation departments as well as the school lunch program.
As Deputy Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Stucchio firmly believes that the goal of any school business office should be to maximize the available resources so that all students are provided the tools to achieve to their highest potential. With this in mind, he will always seek to maintain cost efficiency and fiscal responsibility in order to promote programs for students.
Mr. Stucchio served two years in the Hauppauge Public Schools as the Administrative Assistant for Business and prior to that he worked for New York City Department of Education. He received an MBA from Hofstra University and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Education Administration from Long Island University.
